Rackspace Files for IPO
April 25, 2008 - Web Hosting provider Rackspace Inc. filed its intentions to go public through an IPO led by Goldman Sachs. The profitable and fast growing managed hosting provider indicated plans to raise $400M. The S-1 filing, which can be found here, indicated some significant recent growth by Rackspace.
Rackspace's revenue for 2007 was ~ $362 million.
Rackspace's net profit for 2007 was ~ $17 million.
Rackspace had 2,021 employees at the end of 2007.
Rackspace bought $7.3M worth of power in 2007 for their data centers.
Rackspace has raised $39.6 million in equity capital since formation.
At year-end 2007, Rackspace hosted 36,000 servers in their US and UK data centers.
